Problems in Paradise. Most of you who follow my work and who read my blog posts are aware that I am a coach, a coach passionate about transforming the human experience.
We live in an age of remarkable complexity and ever-increasing technological breakthroughs and it’s a real privilege to be living in these unprecedented times.
We have everything at our fingertips, we actually live in paradise, if you compare and reflect back just a couple of hundred years ago. The life expectancy of humans was just over a hundred years for that matter between 30-40 years old.
Back then we were living a much tougher life in many respects. Just to complete the daily chores of life like washing our clothes in a bucket or beside the river. Cooking our meals over open fires. No air conditioner, managing the harsh extremes of nature. Transportation, moving from one place to another was long and arduous. There were various infectious diseases that we had no cure for.
When we look back and compare it to what we have today, we are definitely living in paradise.
Many of our daily chores are done by machines. Washing machines, coffee machines, microwave ovens. We have running water at the turn of a tap, instant lighting at the flick of a switch, and the removal of waste at the push of a button. We have transportation that can take us from one side of the country to the other in just a few short hours. Our homes are so comfortable with everything we need at our fingertips. To access information about any subject or topic we jump onto our computer or open our phone and within seconds we have the answers. Our life expectancy can now range from our 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and even beyond. My future self is 120 years old.
Some of my clients, when they initially engage me, have all the material possessions they could ever use, enjoy or want but their not happy.
Others have the material items, the loving partner, the family, and their business but they are still not happy.
Others live in this same paradise yet their relationship is shallow and confrontational, their health is deteriorating, they have no compelling prospects or future vision, and they feel burnt out and just don’t know where to turn next.
Why is it that they don’t feel satisfied, complete, happy, or peaceful when living in paradise? Always looking outside of themselves to quench that insatiable thirst.
What’s the Answer to Problems in Paradise?
I love my clients because they are really great people, intelligent, hard-working, and successful in the material world yet they are searching for the solution to be able to enjoy all of what they have created, and be happy and content. They sure have earned it.
They are aware that the material world will not quench this thirst.
They have completed all the hard work, all that is required now is a Mindset Shift in how they are seeing their life and the world.
We need to do some internal work, shuffle the furniture of the mind (Feng Shui of the mind), see life through a different lens, and before you know it, they have transformed, like the caterpillar into a beautiful Butterfly.
We are living in a paradise, so let’s do the internal work of Transformation and have a Breakthrough so our experience of living in this paradise can be felt through our entire being and match that same paradise that already surrounds us.
Banish your problems in paradise forever…
