If you are like most people when you hear the words goal setting, you cringe, roll your eyes, and say out loud, goal setting doesn’t work.

I totally hear you, and I actually agree with you. Goal setting doesn’t work if it’s not done correctly. It can also take some time to really nut out exactly how to master the goal-setting process. Then we need to practice, practice, practice.

When we read a book or do a course on goal setting. That is just gathering information. The real LEARNING only happens when we put our peddle to the metal and take ACTION (physical action) and implement.

So, what are the 3 Simple Steps To Achieving Your Goal?

1. Know what you want. 

I’ve been coaching and training now for well over 10 years. When I speak with clients in person or via Zoom, in the very first session they are never short for words about what they don’t’ want…

  • I don’t want constant fighting in my relationships…
  • I don’t want to be broke all the time…
  • I don’t want to be overweight and have no energy…
  • I don’t want to remain in my current job…

This will go on for about 10 -15 minutes before I interrupt and say, What do you want?

Then there is a silence, in which you could hear a pin drop, their eyes, rolling around in their eye sockets searching for an answer to my question. Nope, nothing there, empty, completely no image at all of what they do want…

Get crystal clear about what you do want. If you don’t know what you do want how could you take the first step towards getting it?

The reason we DO GET what we DON’T WANT is that we are crystal clear about it to the smallest detail and Voila… it shows up in our lives and will not go away.

The second simple step to achieving your goal.

2. Imagine your goal as if has already happened.

Where our focus goes our energy flows. What we focus on and put in our imagination we will create. We are already doing it which is reflected in all the things we don’t want. They show up because I imagine it all day long until it shows up.

We need to flip our thinking our focus and what we put in our imagination. Get a crystal clear picture in your mind of what you do want (step 1 – know what you want) and focus on it incessantly.

We create two times. First is in our imagination, and the second is in reality.

The third simple step to achieving your goal.

3. Take massive action.

Now is the time to create in reality from the blueprint in your imagination. Make a list, and take daily steps towards your goal until it appears in your reality. Get help, research your goal, get a mentor or coach, and keep moving forward with daily action steps.
