How To Transform Procrastination Into Empowering Daily Actions.
How To Transform Procrastination Into Empowering Daily Actions. Those of us who have the habit of writing a daily to do list, already are aware of what needs to happen before the day is over…
Now, if you don’t literally write our your list you most probably have a mental list in your head, isn’t that right?…
So we all know what needs to happen on any given day….
The thing is our human nature, specifically procrastination, will be very selective as to how we pick off the items on our to do list….
For me, I will search the list for items that I feel comfortable to do, even enjoyable things that make me feel good….
Things like:
– 30 minutes reading….
– Respond to emails….
– Coffee with potential clients….
– Check out my Social Media sites & posts….
The more difficult items I leave to last, procrastinating, and if I run out of time I will have to do them tomorrow….
You know what they say about tomorrow?…
Tomorrow never comes, so we are in a perpetual cycle of procrastination on completing those important daily tasks….
Tasks like:
– Studying my craft…
– Preparing for a meeting….
– Practicing my up coming speech….
– Responding to a difficult email….
– Making that phone call…
Remember that 20% of my work will give me 80% of my results….
SOLUTION
Choose 2 items of your list that you don’t want to do, the meanest, ugliest, items that you have and do them before anything else…
That’s right….
Do the most difficult ones first, get them out of the way, and nothing else can start until you have completed these 2 tasks….
This will motivate you beyond belief, your energy levels will go through the roof and now you will be able to power through your day achieving the other 80% with more time left over at the end of the day….
Watch your confidence levels skyrocket…
Get this habit under your belt and say bye bye to procrastination for ever…
