Coaching Duration: Worked together for 2 years and 6 months.
Presenting Problems:
Stress management / wants to transition from CFO (Managing 40 staff) to COO (managing 650 staff)/ 360 Degree’s feedback – perceived as angry, nervous, jittery by his subordinates / 2 senior staff resisting him in his new role as COO / transition back to Europe to retire and operate a small business.
Solutions:
Worked with Antonio on his communication skills – His Italian cultural behavior works well in Italy but not in Asia. We modified his body language, spoke slower, moved slower, creating an atmosphere of calmness and in control. Also took Antonio through Leadership Communication Training so he was able to easily build rapport and connection. Modified his behavior in how to present and act in the boardroom and team meetings.
Resolved the issue with the 2 senior staff through his up graded behavior and they both retired after 6 months in his new role.
Supported Antonio in his new position as COO in coaching him through the daily challenges he was facing during our weekly calls.
Antonio maintained an exercise routine to help alleviate some of the daily work stresses. Once his communication improved, stress levels decreased. Introducing him to various meditative practices to further reduce his stress levels
We discussed and were looking out for possibilities of future opportunities for Antonio back in Europe. He had a few irons in the fire and our contract finished towards the end of his tenure in Jakarta.
Conclusion:
Antonio was supported, kept accountable, educated and raised his EQ during our time working together. All his presenting challenges were addressed and attended to with constant weekly reminders to keep him on track and to reprogram his new knowledge and behavior for improved results and a better working experience.
